Students will be introduced to the basics of improvisation techniques, where they will explore being quick-witted and fast-footed - creating situations, characters, dialogues and plots extempore using their imagination. With fun-filled theatre games and invigorating exercises, the participants will learn to trust and work with their instincts, understand rhythm and comic timing, group dynamics, leading and following, and listening.

Sujay has been been teaching children since 2006, most regularly with NCPA in Mumbai and Ranga Shankara in Bangalore. With his dynamic approach and hi-energy classes, he has conducted workshops for different age groups in various cities around the world. As a freelance director, teacher, performer and designer, he comes with over seventeen years of experience in the performing arts field, having worked on more than fifty performance projects, touring all over India and internationally. Sujay was the official English language speech coach for ‘TED Talks India – Nayi Soch’ in 2019. He is also an Artistic Director and has directed ten original works which have performed at prestigious festivals around India and received rave reviews.

Our courses are 4 to 8 week programs focused on a particular set of skills or an interest area. Every course has a clear weekly lesson plan that outlines the activities and expected outcomes. Parents are also provided feedback on the child’s progress through the program.

Each lesson is in a small group format of 4 to 8 kids. The lesson will be conducted via secure video call. After you book, you’ll receive an email with a link and details on how to join using Zoom. You’ll need an internet connection and the ability to stream audio and video to participate. We recommend the parent attend the first session with their child.
