Each week, students will focus on an element of storytelling. After performing a close reading of a selected folk tale, students will engage in meaningful activities to help with reading comprehension and writing skills. Each lesson concludes with sharing and celebrating student work.

Ms. Barbara is passionate teacher and writer with over a decade of experience. As a life-long learner, she continually strives to learn new things and inspire her students to do the same. Having spent three years living in Southeast Asia, connecting across cultures brings her great joy! Through implementing innovative teaching methods, she engages her learners in lessons which serve to build written and oral communication skills alongside academics. She studied English Writing and Communications (receiving Bachelor's degrees in both fields) at the University of Pittsburgh.
