Skills in focus
Taught by Ms. Karmen
Ms. Karmen is a homeschooling, blogging, graphic designing, fun-loving mom of 4 with lots of teaching experience. She is a Jane of all trades with a passion for writing, art and art history, science, and web design. Prior to her homeschool career, she followed many different career paths that helped her gain valuable experience in many different fields. She was an accountant, human resources manager, market manager, social media marketing guru, and copy editor. She has a degree in Graphic Design, Economics, and Agricultural Business and Environmental Science. I guess you might say she just loves learning! Now she owns her own web design studio, Little Daisy Media, and has the great honor of homeschooling 3 of her kids (my oldest is an adult and has graduated college). She loves fostering a love of learning in her kids, helping them to find their passions. Along with teaching her own kiddos, she teaches Art in the Park monthly for her local homeschool group as well as teaches a variety of classes every semester at her homeschool co-op. She truly believes that learning should be fun first because if we enjoy learning, we will always find opportunities to do it. She encourages creative freedom so kids' work will be relevant to their lives, and they will connect with what they are learning. She enjoys reading, sewing, quilting, crocheting, baking, cooking, binge-watching TV shows, and being silly. See? Jane of all trades.
